Hi everyone I need a bit of help

In the book How to Make Money In Stocks, for the Relative Strengh Williams says that it never should be below 80 for the last 12 months and consider selling if it goes below 80. So what happen if for example the RS for the last 12 months is 90 for the last6 months is 87 and for the last 3 months 72. Im a bit confuse because theoretically you could buy it since the last 12 months is above 80 but I dont know

The relative strength will be different for each time frame. Same with all indicators.

Thanks for the reply but that does not solve the problem when I screen for stocks using the CANSLIM method

No I use more medium term

Seems you've run into a real world problem in the application of your theoretical methods. Only you can decide what to do next, it's your money. Have you considered the impact of the march lows/panic/recession on the rs over the 12 months? All sounds sketchy to me but tbf my opinion is one of the least qualified lol.

You could not be more accurate, Im just starting Im a bit confused in deciding which approach will be best for me, but you are a techno fundamental and booth the Canslim 12 RS and the stock screener are based on techno funadamental

My name is Bob - I just purchased "How to make money in stocks" and am currently reading the book that preaches the "CANSLIM" method.

I am a total rookie and I do not plan to enter the market anytime soon. I am going to read the book 2 or 3 times and then get a chart book that will explain how to read charts and move on from there.

I just started a blog to document my experiences with the CANSLIM method and I could really use some help along the way.

Because I had trouble finding reliable information regarding the CANSLIM system I decided to start my own project. I have always been interested in the stock market and I am hoping to put the system to the test for all the rookies out there that want to get into the market and really learn what it takes.
