help me find a broker/platform for my needs

I am from Canada and I would like to set up an account to be able to buy and sell stocks on demand from American markets as well as Canadian. Markets such as NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, TSX etc. Am I able to set up an account through an american company or must I stay within canada and buy/sell these markets from here?

use a direct broker such as tradestation, interactive brokers or thinkorswim...

you'll have to pay the regular exchange fees, other than that it's the easiest way.

it's much easier to open account with canadian broker.
