IG Markets and other online brokers

Does how the bid/ask is derived on these online platforms? Is it the current spread or the last fill? I'm really starting to think that trading without level 2 and dma is putting yourself at an EXTREME disadvantage and that it's ridiculously hard to be profitable in daytrading (without luck) without it.

What y'all think? Anyone make any decent money without using level 2 at all? Planning a trade through level 2 and then placing trade elsewhere doesn't count for you spreadbetters-on-the-side...

If you're looking to trade a UK FTSE stock by SB then it will be the bid/offer + x%

eg barclays are currently 328.9 - 329 in the market but ig are making 328.6 - 29.3 so they are adding on approx 0.1%
