Shipping to a new market - can anyone answer my question?

Hi there, I am a senior college student, and I am taking an international trade class over the Summer. I have to work on a project and I am confused for the shipping to a new market.
The case is:
I want to make a business case of a Swiss based company that wants to sell their product (manufactured in China) through their USA based subsidiary to Latin America. Should I ship the product to my possible distributor (buyer) in Latin America directly from China or from their distributor customer in the USA.
