Despite bad news trickling in, investors were optimistic in the US after speculation was made by credit rating agencies that credit markets globally are improving and this news took the US stocks drastically high.

I think for now the stocks are high, but time and again...I think the markets are going to fall. Any speculations on US markets going high or low. I have some open bets on US stocks ....so the coming days will decide the result on my trades at gnutrade trading platform.

If you have open positions then I dont think you should be asking the opinion of others as it will cloud your judgement, be it right or wrong.

I am a day trader here, so technically I do not care about that. Remember, even if I say markets may fail (mid term), this does absolutly not rule out that tomorrow they may go up 3% for some funny reason. So, my judgement is not so clouded by that.

I think the stocks are too high. The 6500 dow was a good level, bu the rally was not substantial upward. Earnings coming now may be depressing. A correction is due, possibl to 7700-7500, maybe we do a double bottom (which would be not too bad actually for a longer term recovery).

I do not understand where all the hope came from, and for me there still is too much hope in the market. No outright capitulation.

If the marktes survive this earnings season, we may never see a double bottom. But I would bet there are some pretty nasty surprises ahead. US unemploiyment is also a problem - soon benefits run out. This is not a "fast V shape slump". Be carefull with earnings.

I really look forward to see what the markets decide the next days. Open for both directions. What I think, though, is that we may have some turbulences ahead ;)
