Best Analyst Software Freeware/Payware

Hi there

New to the game but after some decent software that allows me to analyise the market from the comfort of my desktop PC.

You know the kind, perhaps the that which a trader with 6 monitors in front of him might be using.

What can you suggest?

Depends how you trade. What you trade and how much you make.
Esignal - $180+ Can't go wrong, very robust clean and good data provider. Can't go wrong with this.
Tradestation - Good for rule-based trading, can automate and backtest strategies, can use to trade through a broker, has some unique market information that i haven't found other charting software to have.
MetaTrader is free and for forex. Very popular.
Igindex.com charts are free and their good too.
Telechart i wasn't so keen on...
All of these charting packages offer the ability to add indicators ofcourse, see a variety of time-frames etc etc...
Sharescope is good for UK shares although i have found the odd data glitch and therefore its not entirely reliable...

Tell me what you plan to use it for and i can probably help you alot better.

I will be using the software as a tool to analysie the market and then if available to place spread bets, i might also be interested in forex but have very little knowledge of this.

Preferrably I would like to analyse and bet in the same program but it's not crucial that this is available.

Are there any programs that let you compare multiple stocks on the same chart? Andthat let you review data from the past perhaps in excess of one year?

Does Ninja trader allow you to replay historical data as if it was running 'real time' so you can play and see how in theory you would have done?

esignal does,

you can do this manually on metatrader by scrolling back in time and pressing a key to move forward one bar at a time, it is not realtime replay, more period by period.

no idea about ninja trader, search their website for features and benefits

does esignal offer free software to do this?

WHat kind of trading do you do may I ask Jiggly?

I am using sofware from my broker TOS and so far I am happy with it.
