German Stocks Liquid?

A little puzzled here. Have been reviewing a few large cap stocks in Germany partly to avoid the 0.5% tax incurred on LSE shares. But using HOTF as an example I am puzzled as to whether even the large caps are liquid enough to trade. The attached chart is a 39 minute charts. This looks like a typical thinly traded small cap share chart, typically a medium FTSE 250 company. I couldn't trade these type of shares with an intraday chart like that. However HOTF has a market cap of 2.4 billion Euros and 13 million shares traded monthly. Have I missed something?
