seriously you couldn't make this 'expenses 5hit' up if you tried, Prescott claimed for two bog seats, obviously he broke the first when his morbidly obese ar5e bust it, the other when he was gripping it for dear life whilst throwing his ring up during his 'bulemic phase'...:D Politicians, tw@ts to a man and woman, the lot of them...

They all seem more concerned to point out that "it was within the rules, Guv!" and to find out who grassed them up (police have been called in). No hint of humility, regret (apart from being rumbled) or admission of their moral gutter levels.

These are our glorious leaders in positions of trust who, while the recession continues, sh!t on the Ghurkas and expend their effort on degrading spin. These are the dregs of the establishment who would see benefit cheats etc banged up while themselves knowingly milking the system. I can see why they originally attempted to get publication stopped.

I am thoroughly disgusted although not surprised. I sincerely hope those responsible get thoroughly kicked in the ballotbox.

I honestly don't know what's worse - Prescott claiming bog seats on expenses, or Chelsea fullback Glen Johnson getting nicked for shoplifting one from B&Q.

We have truly ended up with the society we deserve in this country, caught between scumbag politicians (I actually met Prescott years ago when he was a nice, normal guy, just before he became deputy leader of the labour party, 1993 I think it would have been) and chav footballers and fame seeking wannabes.

Grrrrr

spot on, although there are very few exceptions to the pigs in the trough mentality, let's not forget that they're all busily milking it right now in anticipation of a change in govt. Hilary Benn came out with credit, only claimed a hundred quid for certain expenses...

Give a trough to six hundred pigs (and sows) and what can be expected?

Ha ha, the gov't and politicians (sigh). Take that Darling clown, did we seriously expect a coordinated economic plan from a man who can't even coordinate his hair and eyebrow colour??

Speaking of Chelsea and shoplifting, what about John Terry's mum?

And as for Drogba getting upset about a lack of penalty decisions, well my old mate that's what you get for calling wolf too many times. He spends more time on his ar5e than he does stood up during a game.

everyone knows that politicians are a bunch of lying thieving clowns, but getting caught with the fingers in the till is a different matter. time to resign and call an election.

Agreed, but will the next lot be any different? If you buy into the conspiracy theories then lab or con, dem or rep are just different sides of the same coin. To put it more bluntly, different heads of a two headed snake. Hmm, or even different supporting sides of the same pyramid.;)

It'll all be academic soon enough anyway, once the new European Constitution gets pushed through (and it will in one guise or another), then all law making will go to Brussels, and Parliament will become just what it's French translation infers, "a simple talking shop". According to Nigel Farrage of UKIP that's pretty much what it is already.

doubt the morality will change much but the labour govt is spent in more ways than one! brussels has been telling the uk what to do for years while the rest of europe ignored the new legislation that they didnt like and would cost money to implement while taking eec money to improve infrastructure which was mainly paid in by the uk and germany. the germans got full value through increased exports. the uk got what it always gets from the french and germans, sh*t on.

Hey, you're in Valencia, my favourite place in the world (well actually Benicassim) been out there a few times for the festival, and fully intend to move there once I go full time with the trading, I have an old school mate who lives out there.

Well I'm sure the weather is better than London. Although we might get a break with a half decent summer this year, we're well due one.

Will do...

They won't be because they never are. This is not confined to government, but to all party mps.

How can these people look after our best interests if they are not in the same boat as us? They can only stay on top of the heap if there is someone underneath them. It's the establishment principle.

If there is a loud enough noise made over here, then the scandal will spread to Brussels.

Keep it up, lads! :D

Our scummy load of politicians got Americanised and forgot all their principles in the rush for easy MONEY.
Top CEOs wanted equality of pay with the Americans too, not so bad if they had any talent, barring a few !

Money by the shedload makes their lives go around - mostly tax payer's hard earned too !!

Makes ya sick !!

Cameron's gone up in my estimation today, genuinely appears to be well pi5ed off with it all. Always hard paying back money you've already had/spent but he couldn't be more unequivocal; "pay it back or you're out of the party". Going to ensure complete clarity by publishing (in real time) all expenses...

I wonder how many MPs are claiming their trading costs as expenses...?
Perhaps any who are members of T2W could tell us here ...

Really?

You are aware that GB wanted to get rid of the ability to claim mortgage interest on a second home - which equates to how much per year for a house in central london?. Cameron opposed GB's proposal and is now flapping on about the banning claims for dog food and barbacues etc.

Tories will always be tories mate. Dont fall for the spin.
