Hi all,

I'll throw in some key words that I have listed. Take this as a mind boggling puzzle to solve? You can add in any other ideas too please.

Objective: Construct an attainable MSc dissertation research topic !

Keywords: "options, hedging, volume, volatilities, costs, benefits, individuals, companies, countries, commodities, equities, correlation, difference, performance, other financial products, mergers and acquisitions, crisis, earnings season, expiration, strategy, spreads"

Extra info refer http://www.trade2win.com/boards/gen...ptions-performance-risk-management-ideas.html

Thanks alot for anyone who participate!
Albert

I have researched on my specific topic of interest and narrowed it down to Options. Its just that I'm confused with many ideas and want to welcome more ideas from perhaps people with experiences regarding the feasibility of the study.

Thank you

What is it that you expect to achieve if, by some miracle, you fashion all that sh*te into a coherent sentence or two?

What are the chances you will come up with something that can be either measured, proved or disproved?

You didnt offend me. I just think that this is a pretty silly way to go about coming up with a topic for a masters disscertaton... If I were you I'd just sit down for a while with a few course material texts and find something that I found interesting. Maybe a question I'd asked in class that wqasn't explained in the book.

"Hedging performance volatilities for equities, commodities and other financial products under crisis conditions; - costs / benefits for individuals and companies in using high volume, long expiration options correlation spreads. Optimisation of strategy for mergers and aquisitions during earnings season, with particular emphasis on differences between countries.

Got 'em all in. Happy now? See how pointless that all was? Of course if you DO actually write this dissertation using that load of old c0ck as your title, please do send me a copy as I would absolutely looooove to read it.

Toodle pip old chap.

I cant believe you did that.

And your approach is to basically turn it into a game of financial scrabble? Fair enough. I can help with that. Will throw in some more words;

Convexity. Black-Scholes, Vanna-Volga, Yield Curve, Risk Free Rate, RARoC, Testiculosity, Swchwanter Vulgarity, Heteroscedasticity.

That help at all?

I could use some help with these two ...
Testiculosity & Swchwanter Vulgarity

alright chill man..just trying to get some feedback in addition =D
i admit am a loser k
ur comments were helpful nyways thanks

hychong, i think it's a good approach for what it is worth. Asking potential market pro's for a topic they may find pertinent.*

*this post is no help to you whatsoever but it might help your ego.
