I make no comment on the following but mention it for those people who think share prices are always completely logical. There were three bids on SETS totalling 1676 shares at 156.25.
The RSP showed 25000 bid at 156.35

I sold 2000 shares at 156.35 and the MM sold 1676 shares at 156.25 on SETS.

The Rsp's are set to improve in small size to capture market share. Good for the stats. We did 33% of the trades in xyz etc
Sometimes you may even get mid price if the MM has a trade the other side.

Basically it looks like the MM doesn't want to be long so is squaring off the book for a £2 cut. If it'sd some FTSE250 company then many of the market makers are watching 100+ stocks that don't trade very oten so ut's easier to square the book off for a £2 cut than forget about it and look at the end of the day and it's down 25p.
