help for a Forex beginner

Hello everyone,

I am new to forums, blogs and soon to be new to Forex and wanted just a few pieces of advice specfically about the tools i will need.

I will read the forums regarding specific trading advice, but want to make sure i get the tools in place to enbale those strategies to be put in to action.

I am looking for an easy to use and cheap charting tool for Forex - i have heard tell of esignal which seems to fit the bill. Any advice on this?

Also, i will probably look to set up a spread betting account to trade, and again i have heard that IG Index is pretty useful, but as always i bow to the greater knowledge of those who have gone before me.

And should i bother with the Knowledge to Action course for a couple of G's?

I would just say to you two things: Be careful of information overload and never pay for signals. If they are free, ok try them just to have something as an expirience, but over a long period and not get excited if they work for a week.
Do not gamble, trading is not a gamble. But it is exciting and welcome to our world.:smart:

Here is my 2 cents

NEVER pay for charts! It's not needed any forex charts that show price is all you need. Don't pay too much attention to news wires etc. Information overload will get you lost. don't worry about learning candle stick patterns they are not required either.

Don't pay for education unless you really want to. You will learn everything you need to here and on other forums, for no charge!

Start with a practice account and work a plan. Stay in touch with the markets and forget using small time frames. don't look at anything under a 1 hour chart to start with. Scalping is for good losses when you are a beginner avoid trying to scalp.
