Hi All,

Does any one know of any services which provides open interests and total volume of FTSE on UK market on daily basis? preferably kind of newsletter services?

Thanks

i'm pretty sure this isn't what you're asking as it's futures only... but will dump it here in case someone else searching for open interest finds it useful.

FTSE 100 future is 3/4 way down, open interest is far right column, it gives the OI change to previous day as well.

A few years back I made a VB program that chops the file up and strips out the crap columns (it's designed for stirs but easily adaptable). I'd be happy to share the project files, just pm me :)

Excellent stuff!

Thanks noshoulders, would you know any sensible newsletters which can provide headsup with the pre market sentiments, this will save me from going thru many sites every day!

Thanks

Pretty much mean what I say. Although there are some well respected newsletters and market commentators, to the first approximation they are complete nonsense, and even when they aren't their analysis tends to be reflected in the market pretty quickly.

There are fund mangers who just blindly put on positions based on what they read in Lex in the morning, but basically these guys are idiots, so **** em

The problem is your mindset and how you use the newsletters not in the newsletters itself.

Do you use it for making your trade decisions or for technical analysis?

Many market Wizards still uses newsletters, it gives pshycological edge. and also save us from using many manual works...
