holly F just played about a half hour of blackjack online for money, as a trader i would like to think we can spot trends, price action etc quite well..all i can say is what a scam!! you just couldn't beat it and was so predictable i was sitting hear actually laughing my tits off at how blatent it was. and i am actually not bad at blackjack so certainly wasnt just me lol

Blackjack is -EV unless you're counting (or own the casino), so no-one is really "good" at it. There's an optimal strategy which dictates the best play in any given scenario, but even this will cause you to bleed money in the long run. (Unless you're counting cards, which might not even work online, depending how they deal with shuffling/randomization.)

I've actually never lost at blackjack (come the end of the night) and i go to the casino every month or so. Wouldn't trust an online one though....

Yeah I agree that it is more comfortable to play in real casino than the online one, but whether in casino or online the most important is you are lucky to win the prize.....

The difference with online casinos to live casinos is that the cards are shuffled after every hand on online casinos, so therefore no patterns can ever be seen (apart from the underlying algorithm).

Candles, if you have never lost you are incredibly lucky (or counting ;-)).

Although Blackjack is a -EV game, it can be possible to play online with a +EV. Online casinos offer a bonus when you sign up, and you can basically play with the bonus, betting the minimum stake each time (to reduce the variance) until reaching the required stake. I think the house odds are something along the line of 50.4% so it then creates a +EV. This is called bonus-bagging and I made over £4000 from doing this a couple of years ago, but most casinos realised what was going on and became increasingly restrictive within its T&C's. But I'd happily put a wager on that it will come full circle and be available again! www.wizardofodds.com is a good site to look up house edges and betting strategies etc.

I also have a brilliant record at casinos.
I think ive been about maybe 15 times now and have won everytime.
On average I bring about £50 to gamble with, and walk away with about £150.
I wish my trading record was as good!

I wouldn't rely on your casino winnings because your winning streak won't last long. :p

Bonus bagging is great.

Betfair recently sent me an offer to one of my betfair accounts that I can get not just +EV, but guaranteed, just from covering red black and zero on roulette and wagering through £4000. Free money when I get around to it :D

(And you get betfair points :))

Warning: Standard betfair casino offer is -EV

Is that a private offer or can anyone do it? Namely a poor student deep into his overdraft... ha

I got a free £25 bet on Betfair. Decided to just put it all on red and be done with it. WON!

Hehe.
We'll see. It's getting to the point where, when we go gambling in a big group of lads, my mates want to give me their money to gamble with, lol.
