I use OANDA, never had a real problem. I trade swing/long-term so I don't know how they'd measure up for day trading and scalping.
Some pros: flexible lot size (you can trade with $1 if you want), good selection of pairs (over 40 to trade)
Some cons: charting isn't that great, no trailing stops
Overall: pretty satisfied with them, and haven't yet considered switching brokers.

My recommendations:
a) Stick to Forex
b) Trade via Oanda until you can afford IB/IdealPro
c) Use any MT4 broker for charting, but not neccessarily for trading
d) CMC is avoided by many since their latetest changes
Never heard of AMC

I think he means due their new charting style!?
why only stick to forex? sometimes emini has more volatility :innocent:

Hi,
I use to trade with CMC Markets, I personaly would adviod them at all costs.
The dealings that I have had with them has shown me that they have very little integrity.
The trading platform has changed resently and the charting software to put it mildly sucks.
Oanda, I have not heard to many bad stories about them, but have not heard of AMC.

I read somewhere AMC just close it's door in the US :whistling
