Hi all,

Just wondering how many of you are home day traders, and what sort of capital you trade with and if you spreadbet or trade CFDs or any other, and also if you make a profit and how much?

Cheers...

Hi jaet1989,
Whatever combination of trading styles, capital, and profit / loss that you can come up with, then within reason, there's likely to be someone who more or less matches any one profile. The replies would be so varied that, in pictorial terms, they would look like a Jackson Pollock painting on a very bad day. The answers would also tend to negate one another and tell you nothing very instructive. If you're wanting general pointers as to the minimum account size, the pro's and con's of day trading etc., then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Trading FAQ'. Most of these broad based questions are addressed individually there.
Enjoy.
Tim.

The question you have asked can only be answered by yourself. How much can you afford to lose? How much do you aspire to gain? How muchtime do you have available etc etc etc. take Tim's advice and go to 'trading faq'.

I day trade fx from home - but be warned there is a huge (and expensive) learning curve on the road to consistent profits.

Good luck

So someone tells you they make £1million/year and that's it,you decide trading is for you...

I heard Bill Gates became a multi-billionaire writing some software or something...

All the previous answers are right. What I would also say is that once you have learned to trade sucessfully then the things you have asked about become a choice - your choice. That's the nice thing about trading - but you do have to crack it first!
