Is it normal to have a UK Christmas bear market?

Is it generally normal for UK stocks to go down from Nov to early Jan, or is that mainly doe to current markets?

No, has nothing to do with the Xmas season. Though most bear markets seem to start around September to November - a bit uncanny. However, over a long enough time period (i.e 1000 years) this may even out over all the months of the year.

Typically, bull markets go on for 5 years and bear markets 1-2 years.
