How are you doing?!

Ok, I've been using Trade Navigator platimum for sometime now.

I think it is good, BUT, I want to backtest a strategy that uses loops in the code,
and believe it or not, but you can't write loops using TradeSense language!

So, I'm looking for other backtesting software:

Preferably free:

So far I have been recommended:

MetaTrader4 and Ninja Trader

I downloaded both.
The problem with MetaTrader4, is that I can't find out how to get charts for futures.
Its only got FX. Howevre on the website it says it is suitable for Futures ??
Anyone know how I can get future data?

Regarding Ninja Trader, it looks quite good, but I have to subscribe to a dataservice, which will cost money. I'm prepared to do this if I have to, but my first port of call is to see what free services there are available first.

Kind Regards
Rich

Thanks for your help mate:)

I got a password from Zen Fire but there was no history!! only real time prices :)

Thanks anyway
and for your comment about it being slow..

Perhaps MetaTrader is better to use then as designed for backtesting

many thanks
Rich
