automated trading question

Hey everyone, my name is Shannon and Im new to the forum.

Thanks to everyone, its incredible what you learn in here.

I am currently trading the ES with ninja and mirus. I am looking into automating my system as its working well but have no idea where to start.
I have a friend that can program but im not even sure if he'll have to program outside of ninja, or can he set it all up in ninja??
Sorry if this is a dumb question, its just i don't know if you set up the automation in a 3rd party source or straight thru ninja.

He has a point though, well, two points actually.
Have a look at tradestation. It is pretty easy to code up strats on there and run them live. Your only costs will be exchange fee and transaction cost if you do a few trades per month.
No idea about Ninja.

Oh, man, you don't want to use TS. Ninja can do the automation natively and you're much better off doing it that way, both in the short run and in the long run.

I would love to be able to do it directly in ninja. If anyone has any experience that'd be great to hear from them.
