First bit of advice would be to do a lot of reading and watching the charts, get to know how the charts work. And only study one currency pair as every pair has a personality of its own, study the beast.

I don't know what the first steps section here is like but look at doing some on line reasearch, if you are into fundamentals research that or research indicators or whatever style you wish to master.

Babypips has a alright section for new traders, pretty basic but not to bad.

Another thing you might want to consider is get a mentor that you can rely on, good ones cost money, but before you sign up with one check them out as there are a lot of not so honest people if you get what I mean.

The system or edge that you end up using will only be a small part of your trading as the majority will be about learning how you handle different situations that come up for you while your trading.

Another thing is realise where your at in your trading career and don't get frustrated because your not leading the pack.

Just relax and enjoy the journey but do it with intentionality.
