How to if we need to know the forex rate on Sat and Sunday? I have Telequote and FXCM account but it will stop on Saturday, Any idea?

Google it or take fridays close, the markets are closed over the weekend so it won't change

are you another newbie who has been lured into believing that "24/7 trading in the forex market", as frequently boasted by it's advocates, actually does mean 24/7 ? :)

Oanda has a "24/7" forex chart- and 24/7 trading. But like the above posters said, nothing happens :).

Go to xe.com for the FX rates over the weekend.

They will begin changing BEFORE the sunday open on the charts to reflect the order flow.

This gives you a good heads up on which pairs have gapped and what way.

LOL! Never ever thought of that.

Forex market stops @ 17:00 EST on Friday and does not commence until 17:00 EST on Sunday (in Japan). It is 5 x 24 not 7 x 24

Forex IS 24/7-- just that most brokers are not. Realistically though not much happens over the weekend :).

over the week end markets will be slow because big brothers(banks and central banks) are no trading.
so no point trading when volatility is no there.
oanda still open for week end thats mean you still can open or closed your position but can you bear the higher spread on week end? some pairs 30-40 pips, pairs like eu 10 pips at least.
oanda do open for trade on 1/1/2009 but the spread were simply killing. eu around 15-20 pips.gu 20-40 pips.
