Has anyone noticed this....

Can anyone explain its importance or implications or significance?

think airlines? think hedging? think about the players in the futures market and what they might be doing? need i say more :p

Dilesh...thanks for an educated answer/perspective....appreciated!...

maybe the wrong answer...it maybe the right answer....but your point is informative & relevant!

If the price is widening higher, it means that the price is expected to increase faster than previously though. If the price is widening lower, it means that the price is expected to go down faster than expected.

If that makes sense, you're smarter than me but it's my attempt to explain it in a nutshell!

The Feb price is diverging from the down trend....hopefully this divergence continues and will materialize into a new trend or even an explosive rise which may catch shorts off guard!!!
