What sort of offer to arcades tend to give new trainee futures traders?

I'm thinking of hiring a new kid to train. I've got enough cash to provide for their initia; margin. But what sort of split should I give, and would a salary be customary? I've heard that places like STA pay no salary, but I do not know what sort of splits they get.

train me train me :p a few thousand a week and 90/10 in my favour and i will be jumping with joy :D no seriously though, a friend or two recently started at a prop firm on a grad scheme, they received around £400 a month for the first 6 months for expenses (while learning on sims) and i think start on a 50/50 split until 100k which goes up to 90/10 when they make over a million :)

What percentage of traders get to a mil? I'm nowhere near, but am hoping that my protege will supercede me.

FWIW

My initial deal was:

50/50 split
Initial account of £30k
£1 round trip.
No desk/whatever fees for a few months.

Had no salary but could withdraw a grand a month even if it was under £30k with approval.

is it easy to get a place at a arcade, im a student in my final year graduating in may, how hard will it be for me to get a job at a prop firm or arcade.

With so many traders trading at an arcade, do you get good spreads on Forex? I'm struggling to find a broker that will give me the spreads that I need to make the scalping worth while. If i'm paying 10 spread and take 5 the success rate would have to be impossibly high for me to be consistent. Yet I think with a better spread I can trade with this model. The only other option for me is modify the plan so the trade looks to take more points to make paying the spread viable or trading with the institutional spreads with saxo bank. Unfortunately I would have a volume of $250 million per side per month. Which at the moment I don't have the funds for.
