my not so good trading

ok, so yesterday i was reading t_d's post about "making money trading" and he mentioned about pin bars, i think i found one as per chart 1, so when the price broke out on the upside i went long a FTSE @ 3950 and again @ 3964 ( 5 tick break), i was looking to take 20 ticks so sold 1 @ 3976 and ran the other 1 with a trailing stop, saw the mkt upto 4030 and sold out @ 4010, then the ftse flew O well.

today however i saw another buy signal on chart 2, but missed it, and when the ftse broke through yesterday's high by 5 ticks i bought 1 and was hoping for more then 20 ticks, but could have taken 20..i know gready boy! i then bought another ftse on the MA 20 EXP hoping for support (4228) and am looking to stop out near the MA 50 EXP (4200ish).

so made around £720 yesterday, but down today.

i am only just trying out this trading on the ftse hence the small size.

Easiest way to do it is to take a screen shot of the chart. Hit ctrl and print screen SysRq buttons together. Then open up paint in your accessories . Edit and paste into the paint program. Annotate before or after, doesn't matter.

Then save as a Jpeg or Gif .

It will go into your photo folder.

Do post and attach file from your photos.

have done that, file is too big.

i will await T2W help i guess.

thanks

Paint - image - stretch/skew and reduce the boxes saying 100% to 50% and try again.
Do make sure it's a .gif or .jpeg, NOT .bmp

Mini.

Sending them over to me will do no good as any attachments are auto deleted.

Surely someone at Schneider Trading should be able to help you?

You've obviously emailed "options" as well.
Please read my email. It's better to learn how from guidance and description, rather than someone else doing it for you. Rather like trading.

i thought sending via external email would work, but maybe not.

i am a remote trader.

how did you know i was there?

someone kindly posted this for me, may work for you
In case you plan on posting any more charts, in case you are not aware of it, there is a free and very nifty picture picture file viewer called irfanview (IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide ). Very popular among digital photographers. Anyway, among other things, it's dead easy with this to resave a .bmp file (or any other graphics file) as a JPEG, which will make it a lot smaller, so you could post it direct, without having to wrap it up in a ZIP file.

Just a thought. irfanview is dead easy to install; for complete functionality, make sure you have the plugins (all explained on the site, and this is also dead easy). It's also pretty small.

Did you know you can get a back testing function on CQG now.
Set your decision making parameters and it will run through from your requested start date to present. Once done you can export your findings to Excel to look at largest profit/steadiest return etc. All very good, and you'll be amazed at how some of the simplest conditions can yield the most attractive rewards.
I'm sure they'll give you a free trial.

did not know that.

to get the freebie on CQG you ask for what ever you want the first week of the new month that way the billing has already occurred.
