obviously playing for sympathy, couldn't have been a serious attempt surely ?
but I admire the fact that everyone else just carried on working, no suspension of trading
actually, the chest must be one of the most difficult places to shoot yourself, bearing in mind the angles, the pressure you need to exert to fire off a round etc ?

Most people who try to shoot themselves in the head fail - they end up with half a face. Gory.

Bullet through the heart does the trick. Clean and simple. If it goes wrong you can make a full recovery and have a great story to tell

Pull up on a hard shoulder.
Tie rope around your neck tightly, tie the other end to a stable tree.
Drive at max speed in a car or off a bridge.

Bottle of strong medication, lie in a a bath with an electrical appliance to hand and razor blades.
Take the medication, slit your wrists and knock the appliance into your bath.

The mushroom season in the UK is good for killing one's self quickly. Go down to the woods in Autumn and look for mushrooms with red on them, dots etc. The more exotic looking the better. Then eat a few and have a good glug of vodka to dull the pain... off you go, dead very quickly!
If you want a really terrible death you can get a pestal and mortar, grind up some glass and then add the ground glass to a glass of beer/coke. A good measure will shred your internal organs to pieces over a few days, resulting in an agonising death!
Funnily enough Paracetamol is very lethal to the body in large doses too. (Hence why they only sell them in packs of 16) If you down around 30 or more it will do major damage to the liver and kill you.
I could go on....
But it's a cheats way out..don't be a quitter, face life and deal with it, take it on and win!!

I'm not at all sure I'd care to suffer through a drawn out, debilitating disease, but I suppose the actual difficulty would be finding a method that is guaranteed, ie where you don't wake up in hospital missing half a face, and that is preferably relatively painless and not too gory as well.
Dunno...
Go visit Bush when he's in retirement in Texas and spring at him from out of a bush haha disguised as Osama Bin Forgotten and hope he'll shoot first and ask questions later ?!?

If you're going to do it, do it in style like this guy.
When I was in a very bad place, I did try to figure out how to kill myself in my TVR. I couldn't think of a suitable road to build up enough speed and hit a stationary object hard enough to make the death quick at the time. I'm sure you lovely souls will all suggest suitable venues, though.

Just inhale an inert gas like nitrogen. It doesn't react with the body and, therefore, isn't poisonous. We are all breathing in a mix of 79% Nitrogen and 19% Oxygen (and a few other trace gases) right now, until the day we die. However, crank the Nitrogen up to 100% and you'll die from lack of Oxygen (or the technical term which is epoxia). Apparently, it's euphoric and has no feeling of suffocation - you pass out before you die very peacefully.

I would have thought most people's drive would be long enough to build up the speed needed in a TVR..
If I had a TVR I would only ever consider suicide if (when!) it broke down.
I'm tempted to pick up a 350c, awesome looking cars.
