A Good Book to Start?

Could someone recommend a good book to start with for a complete noob.

Something that gives a solid foundation would be ideal.

Well then "Trading in the Zone" will get you a good foundation.

I humbly submit my own book. It was written specifically for those new to the markets. I was working with a university professor to help develop a "trading" course at my alma mater a couple years back and couldn't find a good general (non-market specific, non-timeframe specific, non-style specific) text which really does start at the ground level - most of the students having zero experience - so I wrote one. Sounds like it's the sort of thing you're looking for.

This is a great thread for finding out about the best books. However, my advice would be to search through the forums. Believe me, there is more useful information here than in any book I have read!
