One stock approach

Somebody posted recently and commented that they spreadbet one stock and one stock only. They basically learn the equity inside out, all the fundamentals and technicals. I was wondering if anybody else had tried this approach for spreadbetting. Also it would be interesting to know if there were certain stock characteristics that suited this approach.

It's definitely a good place to start if you're new to trading. Get to know one, then start to introduce a few more perhaps within the same sector and become a sector specialist.
This gives you the opportunity to not only trade each individual stock outright, but also to take advantage of any pair trade opportunities within the sector that might crop up.

Can't see the problem with it. I only trade EUR/USD. There was a more in-depth discussion on choosing to trade one single security a couple of days ago.
