I'm 95% certain the guy in the picture is the legendary US fund manager, Timmy Sykes who made a fortune then blew out. And who else would wear black with brown but an American?

Knotted handkerchiefs planted serenely upon heads, mult-checked shorts 2 sizes too big, topped off with bright white sports socks hooped at the top with thick red stripes, drawn halfway up the calf offset by scruffy blue sandals, whilst slumped awkwardly on loud colored striped wooden seating implements on a hot beach.....

No, pretty sure it isn't Sykes - and he trades in a dressing gown. I recognize the picture, and I think I saw it on dealbreaker, so you're probably right about it being someone who blew up!

In Mr X’s wardrobe that's undoubtedly so :D

Shame he doesn’t get out more. If he did he might have observed (thru his popular British media ) that the black-brown combo was, yet again, back in vogue & not the faux pas he was alluding to.

Black and brown in the British media is apparent on footballers and other sporting types, eg David Beckham. It is also popular with the Italians for some inexplicable reason.

US smart-casual is epitomised by Tony Soprano's crew - expensive but looks cheap and makes everyone look like a fat fuuck.

LOL. I think you're right. Having diverse interests is fine but when this includes sartorial opinions of The Sopranos (which I don't even like), perhaps it's time to re-evaluate one's outlook. I think I should drink more.

Nothing like a few sherberts (insert recreational drug of choice) to loosen the reins & add a little flavor to proceedings.

Judging by the short focus road map on several of these currency pairs this week, one or two city hotshots could do with loading up on a good mugful of their chosen poison!

They appear to be wrapped far too tight for their own good.
