Has it ever been used in spread betting?

Its when you keep doubling up btw after a loss.

It works if (1) you have a strategy that has > 50% chance of success (2) you have an infinite amount of time and cash.

I expect that is has been used extensively to accelerate account depletion to 0 in the shortest possible time frame.
