IG Index API

Does anyone know if IG Index allow you to connect to an API if not, which spread betting company will let you set up a system to autotrade with them....or am I asking too much!!
 
No they don't and it is highly unlikely that any SB company will ever allow this in my view.

Seems we are really behind in the uk with choices of MT4 Brokers.
So many EA's and great charting but very few places to use them.
What seems to be the problem with UK brokers adapting the MT4 Platform?
 
totally agree I have no idea either...I wish IG index had an API...it would do so much more business...

GFT Markets seem to allow rule-based automated trading through their DealBook platform. Never tried it but seems pretty unusual for a spread betting company to offer this.

Still, not as good as an API would be. I guess one of the key problems with such a setup from their point of view is that it would reduce their potential ability to control orders placed (although I don't see why they couldn't, say, put people onto dealer approval if they were having issues).
 
Thing is, MT brokers and GFT Markets too, don't offer derivatives. And I mean options. IG Index has these, that's why an API would be good...

Totally agree - making too much money already why compromise it. More chance of Gordon winning the next election.
 
Futuresbetting can connect to Ninjatrader, and you can do all sorts of stuff with that if you've got the technical abilities.
