yah for when the aliens land this could be a time capsule thread where z earthlings whoop it up on such obscenities. But, HOW high is not just a chinaman, no ,its a valid question for OIL & EURUSD progressing from here ?

EURUSD 1.70 2008 ? hmm dunno bout oil mind.... I did see something on telly about OPEC sayin they wanted to keep oil at these levels ? whats that oil about ? :) bloody scandalous isnt it, so they can get more cash and build alternate worlds in the deserts ?

every time it dips all they gotta say is refinery breakdowns and repairs and hey presto $10 rally in oil....... money for old rope game that seems......

as an environmentalist, i think 100 dollar oil is great news. technical squiggles ive been drawing say that euro will keep going against dollar medium term, trend wobbled before it broke the high. we'll see if it keeps going.

ps anyone suprised by ststement that bet on an ecb cut was off is an idiot... actually i should probably include myself because i bought near th high betting it would retreat again...oops. must really learnt o trust myself.

As an environmentalist I bet you'd be streaking and hugging a few trees when oil trades $125 then. ? mmm mind you not exactly gonna price out users with oil will they even at $200.

I was thinking of selling my gas guzzling monster as I have a feel it will depreciate faster than ever in this environment. Soon crude may get to a meaningful fraction of the price of bottled water. Personally I prefer to buy sugar..it is still very cheap.

Sugar will keep suffering from cheap substitutes and increase of health diet programs.

i do agree buddist, though having it at 100+, well generally expensive, will spur on alternative energies. i work for a news show and was digging out some file footage (maybe 99, 2000??) and there was a story about the price of crude going from 10 dollars a barrell to 30 in year. how things have changed.

What happened with Irans oil exchange priced in Euros? it was supposed to launch a week or so ago. I haven't seen any publicity/stories about it. Collusion? related to your observation? didn't happen?...

I dont watch or study these markets currently so may be way off!:eek:
