Hi wasp

Does wholesale mean the underlying market/exchange based market such as CME or LSE?
V's retail which means eg. spreadbet, CFD, or retail spot forex etc?

Thanks.

I mean it as in

Wholesale > stand on the tube next to GJ every morning
Retail > sit at home with a nice cup of tea all day

In that case, on balance with all advantages & disadvantages taken into account, retail edges it for me.

Not denying it was me. But look at it this way - as I'm currently sitting on the wholesale side of the fence, I actually have the choice (as there's nothing really to stop me quitting my job tomorrow, walking off the floor and plonking myself down in my study with the aforementioned big mug of tea and a retail account).

So given the fact that I can do either at present, it would be a pretty daft state of affairs if I actually thought I would rather be on the other side of the fence right now but just wasn't doing anything about it ;-)

The day I stop being happy where I am is the day I start looking for something else. If that means that there's nothing at all that interests me in whoesale I guess it'll be time to get out. But not yet.

Do you not do both currently? Since you have the facility? Swing trade via SB with all your inside knowledge  ;)

GJ may correct me on this, but I suspect that the nearest he gets to a tube is when his chauffeur driven limo' glides past the entrance on its way to or from his penthouse office suite at Canary Wharf!
;)
