Nice upgrade Sharky et al, I like it, so much faster now...

Good to see the arguments and ego's still at play! Why people need to do it is beyond me, surely life is too short and everyone would be much better off trading and getting on with life?!?!?

PS. my Dad is bigger than all of yours!!! (and no I won't post my trading statements)!

So why do people do it, I'm really curious? I joined this site many moons ago to learn and help others if and when succesful and now I'm consistent, I enjoy the lifestyle and do help a few others so why do people feel the need to be the 'best'? Suppose its the same as the fights outside the pub on Friday night whilst I'm enjoying my nightcap, horses for courses... strange though...

Haven't you noticed that the fights outside the pub always attract a crowd?
No, seriously, where are the arguments, what thread do I need to be?? :cheesy: :p

Well, is it human nature? yes and no I think, yes in the sense that perhaps people are not aware of their own behaviour at times, auto pilot, conditioned (how has the individual been conditioned for the last 20-50 years ? ) reflex responses etc.

The need to feel to be the best, seeking approval from onlookers. hmm maybe its a case of a person growing to realise that as we live with ourselves its what we think or judge of ourselves which counts. Double ho hums , if the human is a social herding beast then maybe he will want to or should? consider the thoughts and judgements of many his number to be accepted to be able to fit in with the herd.

I think as people become more aware then perhaps a natural progressive sidestepping away from the herd is unavoidable. Why we cannot be in a group and not remember we are individuals and be free enough to function as an individual is interesting. If you become detached from the herd then I think you can mingle with yet always be aware you still have a choice, or freedom to choose.

But what about the people who cant see the choice, they are pulled along by the force of the group, the energy of it, whats going on there? Is it a security issue, safety in numbers.

Is it possible for humans to grow to operate as free thinking beings who can always have a choice, is it natural ?

Anyone seen that programme, "when mobs go wild" ? I saw it once and it was funny to watch, thousands of people on the streets, going bonkers, many mature adults etc.

Maybe its a release for or just their time for them expressing "group " freedom of choice at that moment .

What about that saying United we stand ,devided we fall ? Maybe its the other way around devided we stand ,united we fall.
