Introducing myself

Hello all,

I'm Praveen Kumar from India. I'm a member of very popular forum in India - Traderji.com. I've learnt a lot from that forum. But since it caters to only Indian stocks markets, I thought of joining in this forum, which deals with others markets. So that I can learn more.

I've been learning about Technical Analysis for the past 6 months. Currently I'm learning about pattern trading.

So far I've read these books:
"Technical analysis of the financial market", by John Murphy (read around 50%), and
"Come into my trading room", by Alexander Elder

Hope I will learn more from this forum, and get involved in the discussions, contributing as far as I can, etc.

Meanwhile at present I'm going to concentrate only on Indian market, that too only NSE and not BSE. But I'm thinking of tracking some scripts and indices of other market, for learning purpose.

Regarding the areas of trading, so far I've went through:
1. Basics of trading, like pivots, support, resistance, etc.
2. Patterns, like flag, triangle, channel,etc.
3. Technical indicators, like MA, etc.

I'm thinking of concentrating on delivery trading in equity market first.

I use Amibroker and I like writing those AFLs.

I would be glad to share any other information.

Hi,

Personally, I have never got involved with the Indian Stock Market, so I'm afraid I'm not the best person to help you.

My specialism is in U.S. Shares, but maybe there are other people on this board who trade your market?

Hello Damian,

Thank you for your kind words.

As I'd said, I'm thinking of tracking in some major indices and participate in some good discussions. At the same to contribute as far as I can.

hey praveen,

good to see you here. why dont you ask your question of transferring exploration to watchlist in the manner you want (in the appropriate subforum)? btw when i tried it, it did not transfer alphabetically, so i cant really tell you much.

Hello Av,

Yes Av, will try to post them. At present I'm working on identifying patterns on Nifty fifty and Nifty Junior stocks. So I didnt concentrate on finding solution for that problem.
