Hey guys,

This is my first post here. I have been actively trading stocks for 10 mo. now with about 50% returns for that time. I started out w/ TD Ameritrade, but now am with Interactive Brokers and saving money with their commission structure. However, I HATE their platform, its laggy and just not sleek like Think or swim was. I am looking into switching brokers with a similar Commission structure as IB, or a 3rd party platform. I have had no luck finding something I like. Ninja Trader seemed awesome, but I cant afford $1000 for their software. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dean

Sierra Chart: http://www.sierrachart.com/

I switched to it from eSignal about 3 years ago and have not regretted it, IB is one of their partner brokers so you wouldn't even need to move, monthly cost considerably lower than eSig, and if you actively trade with IB then their data that you already pay for will drive your Sierra charting so no extra exchange fees. If you like to back test then the Sierra historical data is a v cheap add on.

Qualitative choice of a trading terminal is exactly what can serve as an optimal solution for constant work. Because it provides you with the ability to perform quality analysis and trade in such a way that you can count on regular profits. And I don't see anything wrong with you being able to try a few options and then choose exactly what will make you profit. And here you should pay attention to all the characteristics - number of indicators, individual settings, set of assets, timeframes, etc. And since we all have absolutely different requirements, we all choose different things that are useful for one and serve as a completely senseless solution for another.

What's your favourite trading strategy?
