Im looking at the..... XAU..... PHLX GOLD SILVER SECTOR INDEX, anyone traded it, I like the look how it trends on the chart. I give my broker a ring Monday, to see if it can be traded.

Anyone got info on it?

Thanks

XAU has options contracts but as far as I am aware no tracking stock, GLD the Street Tracks gold etf likely follows it fairly closely, there is also a silver etf SLV, still a little thin tho

XAU been going since 1979, it's a shame you cant trade it like QQQQ, Im not a fan of options. But as far as GLD is concerned can this be traded as a stock..and if so would you know what the spread is like, the volume looks good...

Basically I trade futures YM and ES. and GLD and XAU look like very tame. Compared what im currently trading.

Cheers

Yeah laptop, GLD trades on the NYSE, trade it just like a stock, gaps a lot day to day since it is only tradable during NYSE hours, set at about 10% of gold's value I haven't actually traded it as when I have played gold I have done so as a swing trade and prefer options so I am unsure of the spread, but judging by the daily volume I'd imagine there isn't much more than a cent or two.

Gold is a sweet market to trade maybe look at bonds ZB its pretty tame and more mature except on critical reports then you best stay out
but in general you want the volatility
