Good resources for learning FX and Equities Trading

Hi,

I have a friend who is interested in learning to trade. He does not have a background in finance nor does he have any capital markets or trading experience.

I am trying to refer him to some good resources so he can learn. Can anyone recommend any good educational (free) resources for beginners to learn how to trade FX or stocks? Preferably with a technical analysis tilt.

I remembered using babypips, fx factory and some Steve Nison candlestick materials when I started out. Anything else would be greatly appreciated.

Would be interested in any recommendations too. I have done most of the babypips school stuff and it has been pretty good. Lots to get my head around but it was good for a start.
