I was wondering if there are any traders out there who trade exclusively from the short side and only rarely go long.

Long trades might be entered into on days where the whole market is on the up but generally only short trades would be considered.

Are there any "shortists" or gravestone traders out there ?

If so I would be interested to hear about your general market philosophy etc.

I go which ever way the market dictates, but recognize that I am more comfortable shorting.

I come from a long line of worriers, and assuming total collapse just comes naturally! ;)

I would like to say that I go whichever way the market dictates, but I somehow seem to look for shorting opportunities more than buying. I love to see RED on my screen for some reason. I wish I knew why.

It isn't a deliberate strategy on my part, I just like the market "puking". I like to sell resistance.

Perhaps it is because when the market falls, it tends to fall very quickly, thus my profits are realised quickly. When the market rallys it seems to take its time, thus making me wait.

Apart from this, I cannot explain myself.

Interesting question.
