Is there a way for me to find out how many shares have been shorted at any given time for a stock? For example, I know Finish Line is heavily short sold ATM but I know that based on analyst reports, not my own research. Is their a place that will give me this data?

I don't profess to be an expert on this but I think the answer is 'No'. Wouldn't it require all brokers who lend shares for shorting to report this to one central agency? The Financial Times ranks short selling activity and they gather this information from data explorers:

DXScore Data Definitions.
DX Short Selling Activity is compiled by Data Explorers and represents a proxy for short selling activity based on the demand to borrow the shares as a percentage of the shares outstanding shown as low, medium and high levels.

I pay not attention to it either way.
