I have some certificated shares of EMN and PCG. I'm wondering how to sell them? I do not have the certificates and I have absolutely no idea where they are. As far as I'm concerned they have been burned and are impossible to recover.
I called compushare or amstock, whatever the holding company and they want like DNA samples or something for me to even log in online. I don't understand why I can't just go down to their office and settle it?
The forking snot that gets me, is that if someone were to find the original certificates they could just go to some broker and cash them. Then I'd have to go to the police and it would turn out to be an even bigger hassle then it already is, plus I'd still have to fork over the DNA samples to prove that I own the shares.
