I think very little you are born with, your height, your eye colour, genetic diseases perhaps, but the majority comes through your interaction with the environment and in this case being a trader, anyone who puts in a large amount of time and works on their technique, their psychology, their money management can succeed.

Made really. Certain personality traits help of course, because I think success often involves ripping out a lot of the wiring humans are born with.
I think people are basically hard-wired to suck at something like this. Probably doesn't help that many of the character attributes likely to help you succeed at trading are very unlikely to endear you to your fellow man.

95%+ of traders are born to fail. I can't imagine they would consciously and deliberately make themselves fail. Therefore traders are born.
