Reuters reported, total Provision loss of Greece four banks: National Bank of Greece SA, Alfa Bank, Eurobank EFG and Piraeus Bank are 28.2 billion euros, about 10 times the current market value of four banks, or the equivalent of Greece 13% of the gross domestic product (GDP).
Greek banks announced a huge loss of 2011, this is the result write-down of Greek second debt relief agreements, it has worsened balance sheet that already in pressure.
Agence France-Presse reported, Greece National Bank said, Included in the write-down of expenditures of 10.75 billion euros, net loss of 12.3 billion euros in 2011
Alfa Bank last year's net loss amounted to 3.8 billion euros, EFG Euro Bank last year's net loss of 5.5 billion euros, EFG Euro bank is scheduled to merge with Alfa Bank. The Piraeus Bank ranked fourth after calculation of the bond expenditures held last year, have a loss of 6.3 billion euros.
