Best Trading software with automation

I'm looking atautomating my trading and looking for the best software to do this. I need something that is easy to use and has advanced scripting capabilities, including automatically passing orders, so that the software will be future proof.

What do people recommend and use?

There is lots of broker and community support with any automation related to MT4 (MT5 around the corner too).

FXCM have also just revamped their own trading station automation package. Although it is questionable how future proof they are as it is predominantly to be used with their own brokering.

It depends a little bit on what programming language you are familiar with already.
