Losing it ptII: Marbles (Loosing)

G

G.O.A.T

As I'm sitting here with my fingers covered in copper slip and inserted into the mains socket receiving a dose of self administered electro therapy after a few rather testing of days trading, it got me thinking....

Whats the daftest thing you've done after a losing streak or a single big loser. You know, when it feels like the market has got it in for you and it's giving you a large portion of helmet, you can't seem to get anything right and it's getting to the stage where it's becoming a little bit of a mind fugaa. I used to like doubling up and fighting all the way and I got away with that for a while, needless to say that ended abruplty:LOL: Now I'm just a right grumpy old basthard and ignore everyone when it all goes wrong(y) but at least I get the chance to trade another day/week.

I just take a few days off.

I still keep a journal and on my 'off' days it is full of the following
"not to plan"
"follow the fncking plan for fks sake"
"God I'm a dick"

Best to take a few days off.

I don't do anything dumb after a few sh!tty days, it's doing dumb things that gives me the ****ty days in the first place.

If I stick to what I feel works and lose, I don't consider it ****ty.

I remember in the early days (2000 / 20001) getting caught daytrading the Nas (when it was flying around). Friday evening seconds before the close and i had a problem with my connection (or cmc were havin fun) so couldnt close out. Remember staring at the screen bunny in headlamps style. Through recent PA i knew i could easy be out 25k (which i didnt have at the time) come monday!
Was a looong weekend thats for sure! lost count of the times i said to myself "Yoouuu stupid F*****G C**T!!!". After no sleeping and some weeping around comes monday open. Im on phone early, ".........Just get me out!" was the gist of it. Bang 2.5K gone, was a lucky boy!
I trade differently now..

sounds fun, january 2010 was long 100 cars of corn..opens limit down. that was a belter

Take another trade straight away but even bigger size and lose the rest of the profit I built up over a few months. That was a fun week :innocent:

After the shock, I just dig deeper. No trading, but more books, research, and trying to find out what went wrong. Push for more because that big loss is just going to be one of many. I can't let them get me down. There are no profits in letting losses get to you.

I cash all my money out, email customer services and ask them to close my account and then uninstall any trading programs on the computer. Few days/a week later I request customer services reopen my account and then I deposit more funds that I tell myself I will trade "seriously this time". Rinse and repeat.

I'm the perfect mug punter and customer services know it.

Past 2 weeks have been especially tough. I have just taken fewer trades lately and quit trading for the day when it's not looking good. Saves me the pain of banging my head against the wall.

If it's been particularly bad, I shut the PC down, go to the living room and watch 'Ghost' with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze just to remind me that nothing can be as bad as watching the sh1test film of all time.

Whenever I have a looseing day I sign into Trade2win and tell people how to trade.

It was one of the saints who used to jump starkers into a bed of nettles !

I've lost count with the number of times I withdrew my account from alpari and then a few days later re-deposited it.

People, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM DIONYSUS TOAST"S company. I was completely ripped off TWICE. Working with an attorney as we speak. PM me if you want any details. Complete scammer. I cannot believe he is still allowed on this forum.

LMAO!

You brought it twice?

Very funny, whoever you are. Certainly, you are not a customer.

Feel free to post the details here. Why not start off with proof of purchase, copies of your complaint to me and details of why you'd actually buy a piece of software 2 times.

Should be fun.

I woz going to buy a d-i-y circumcision kit for toastieboy, i held back as i thought it might be a bit of a rip off.

Good that you were able to hold back, GOAT; it shows you aren't a schmuck.
