Stockcharts.com

Dear all,

I have created a petition to urge the management of stockcharts.com to keep the European coverage open after the 1st of March.

I will be very grateful for all the users of stockcharts.com to support my petition.

My request is also aimed specially at the FTSE users. I have found stockcharts.com as the best out there for the FTSE coverage...please support my petition.

Thank you.

Petition Keeping the European coverage in Stockcharts.com

Here's the link to the blog post that explains why they are stopping the Extra/EU and Extra+ services:

EUROPEAN STOCK COVERAGE WILL END ON MARCH 1st - Chip Anderson - StockCharts.com Blogs

It does say though: "If you are a member of our Basic, Extra or ExtraRT services, nothing with change as a result of this decision."

Thank you for the reply.

My understanding from their email is that the European coverage will stop completely, therefore, the FTSE won't be covered anymore after the 1st of march.

I think you might be misunderstanding it personally, as the Extra/EU service was only added last year, but you could still view daily and higher charts of European stocks before that with a slight delay, which hasn't changed since they introduced the new EU service for people on the Basic, Extra or ExtraRT services. Basically my reading of the article is that it's just the additional real time EU service that's being stopped as the take up of it has been very low. But the normal EOD and intraday charts will still be there, but with a delay as they'll be using a cheaper data provider.

I'd email them to clarify if I was you though.

I really hope that I mis-understood their email.

You are brilliant, thank you for the clarification.

Hi Isatrader,

Any news from your email to Stockcharts.com?

Thanks

Any news from your email to Stockcharts.com?

It appears I was wrong and you were correct as I got the following reply from Stockcharts tonight.

Starting March 1 we will no longer provide end of day, delayed or intraday data for the UK exchanges (Euronext, London or German). This does effect you as you won't have access to this data starting March 1.

That sucks  and I think they should reduce the subscription charges as they will be providing a lesser service, but I doubt they will.

That is really bad! Do you know of any alternative system or a website which is good as or as close as Stockcharts when it comes to scanners and charts?

Thanks

Fantastic news! the European coverage is back on. I've just managed to renew my monthly subscription.

I hope the word will go around and it will get more people to use the European real time data.

Thank you all for your input .
