I'm right now using Madscan and like it very much.
I am trading mostly short term reversals intraday (trying to find the price
right when it turns and makes a sign it is really turning) and am looking
for them all day until i find good ones.

The Madscan isn't helping me with these much.

Do you know of good systems like Madscan that can do the work?

I am also looking for a good intraday pattern recognition software
that really works (alot of crap out there).

Happy New Year!
Roi.

I think Madscan is pretty good, but most of the scans I never used when I was trading stocks. It was just a few of them - like 10c from high of day, stuff like that and big movers. Still - looking for intraday reversals is tough from a scanner because by the time the scanner sees a reversal and you pull up the stock, you probably missed the trade. Still, if you look for big movers for the day, you can do a continuation play on them...

Tradestations is good but a little slow but it is programmable.

e-signals are good & you don't need their trading platform.

IB is good too and it comes free with an account, it's more than adequate.

"Best" scanners aside - Trade Ideas is one of many worth investigating if you seek to identify actionable trading patterns.

This pattern was described on our blog the other day, "Oversold 30 Day Low, Down 4 Days"

Call it the “strategy of the week.” It looks for stocks oversold: making a 30 day low, are down 4 days in a row, and are trading on unusually high volume today.

Oversold 30 Day Low down 4 Days

The full article describes the backtested trading plan that produced good results. The post is titled,
"THE MONEYBALL OF TRADING"
Trade-Ideas Stock Scanner Alerts Software: The Moneyball of Trading is Here

I will look into this, thanks.

What i meant about pattern recognition is not what you call pattern.
I want an intraday screener that will look for let's say reversed cup and
handle in 1 minute candles.

Is there something like that?
