Individual traders

Are there relatively few individual stock traders in the UK? I know there are plenty in Asia, especially in Hong Kong. How come there are so few in the UK (and in the US)?

On what basis are you claiming there are "so few" traders in the UK and US?

UK probably has more independent traders than Hong Kong.

Europe and US are way more advanced when it comes to investment know how or at least the reach compared to countries in Asia.

I know there are far more smokers and gamblers among Asians....well that's the way it seems to be for those that come to Australia.....Well I have no hard facts......
just looks that way.
