In Australia stocks are let out of the gate in an alphabetically graduated start eg. BHP (BLT in your lingo) is let go at 10.00, WBC (major bank) is out of the gate at 10:10.
The idea being for an orderly start.
Does the FTSE have something similar or are all the runners let go at the whistle?
