Has any one heard of Bill Williams' fractals?

I've just read Bill Williams' book 'Trading Chaos'. It is a PA only system. Is any one familiar with his work? Or does any one have any experience trading
his system?

Many people know BW fractals, many trade èm, its included in many charting software offers. Just google for Bill Williams ALPARI and you will find a complete course.

If you download the FREE MT4 (metatrader) software and open a demo account for the free datafeed any MT4 broker offers, you will find the whole BW (Profitunity) system included and applyable.

BW has written 3 books. His system (and many derivatives thereof) is popular and making money in most countries and most markets.

Just coded his 'pristine' long fractals into a preliminary backtest......the timeframe was 3 mins...The result was ....not so good. Re-reading his book 'Trading Chaos' Bill does concede on pg 154 that on intraday time-frames using fractals is 'cumbersome'.He then advises that the fractals work best at the daily level. I think I'll pass

good half of so called traders on these forums are software developers. so believe me - if you could just find an indicator description and 'code' it and make money out of it then Forbes will be stuffed with pictures of ugly geeks in thick glasses and pimples.

I`m sure you coded according to ALL of the rules (inl. reverse scale pyramiding) and orders NEVER to be placed "market", but always "pending stop" .....

2 years ago I thought about trading THV4 (TF5m). Parallel I traded BW on a second screen. BW was always 1 bar earlier.

You are right, I never came across a working BW-trading-EA, but lots of threads on FF show winning implementations traded manually
