NEWS - how the hell...

How the hell does news travel so fast? An example today - bloomberg announces BP's deal in India is under threat by the gov. This was a news flash - a 10 second announcement. About 3 minutes before the announcement FTSE dropped 20sih points and BP's dropped about 40 before regaining slightly.

HOW DO PEOPLE KEEP TRACK OF THE NEWS AND REACT SO QUICKLY???
 
ok, so there's an instant reaction it seems - news which I cannot have access to quick enough.

Would i be correct in thinking that after that initial drop - then the slight rebounce - there will be a further decline as the average joe finds out...?
 
If you have to ask questions like this your too late to front run anything. This will always be the case for people like us.
 
Reacting to what the market has actually done is always a lot less stressful and usually a lot more profitable than predicting what it might do.
