Do I really need a trading software to spread betting?

Hi, guys, I am currently doing my readings and try to sort out what broker shall I choose and if I need a specific software to trade, apart from the tools offered by broker after I open an account with them.

I am only able to contribute 100 pounds to start, therefore I am really a small player; this is why I am wondering if I need a trading software which is a bit expensive for me at the moment.

Any advice will be appreciated, thanks a lot！！
 
All you need is an account with a spread betting and you can use their free software provided.

Make sure they provide charts and news feeds. Do not waste you money on software at this stage.

Thanks for your advice, i have to say from the deepest part of my mind I thought the same thing, rather than starting learning how to use a proper software, I think I shall start with how to recognise some patterns, be familiar with concepts and terms, and try to integrate with my fundamental analysis.

Hi Bint Crusher, thanks for your generous offer! but it sound payable:sneaky: ; and one month free trial probably won't do my any good at this stage; but I am sure I will get back to you later when I am familiar with how to trade and you seem to have some good stuff!:)

Hi Doomberg thanks for your reply, I am wondering, with genuine respect, what's your opinion on trading software for a newbie like me? it sounds like you will throw in some very interesting stuff here!

I think it would also depend on which books you're reading. If the charts on your sb platform can give you the indicators/lines/whatever you need for your strategy then other software might just end up being confusing.
